Developing The Strategy

Evolve’s Chief Strategist, Kimjera Whittington, sat down with SlideShop’s leadership to craft the brand’s strategy for its redesign. Over a one-week facilitated session, Kimjera brought forth the challenges SlideShop faced. She went through their goals and objectives, company profile, customer avatar, brand voice, and 7-part StoryBrand framework. This became the foundation for their website redesign, email campaigns, and social media strategies.

SlideShop has diverse customers with different needs. Our first step to creating a marketing strategy was defining the three main profiles to understand their unique challenges and current product access. This painted a clear picture of who the customers are, their needs and wants, and where we could target our efforts to solve their problems.

SlideShop customers valued the company’s logo and aesthetic as a recognizable part of their brand. So, we took what was working, their logo and brand colors, and created a new look with more whitespace and a modern feel. Then, we rewrote their messaging, created a new call to action, and redesigned the layout of the website to increase engagement and sales.

Lead Generating Marketing Assets

Branding goes beyond website identity. As SlideShop is dedicated to their customers’ success, we created some assets in the form of lead generators to give to their potential customers for free. This allowed customers to get a taste for SlideShop before monetarily committing and it helped SlideShop generate leads.

We created the marketing strategy by targeting each of SlideShop’s three customer profiles and adjusted the content and offers accordingly. The messaging, promotions, and positioning of the outreach was dependent on the unique customer’s needs and wants.

Our team worked to create emails and social media that would speak to SlideShop’s customer groups in a specific and relatable way that told a story. Whether they found us on Instagram, Facebook, or through a website search, potential customers were greeted with story-based marketing that they understood and related to. This allowed us to position SlideShop as the guide, letting the customer be the hero of their own journey.

Email Creation & Automation

SlideShop’s email marketing wasn’t working for them, so we completely revamped it. We started by creating an email marketing strategy, filled with a content plan, promotions, and copy for each unique user profile. 

We knew that SlideShop’s users would respond better to graphically-oriented content, so we upped the visual aspect of the emails and made them interactive by using Klaviyo. This allowed potential customers to engage with the brand without pressure before eventually deciding to sign up.
